*NOTE* It has come to our attention that this modified platformer.c file prevents the jump action from being disabled when interacting with an actor. *FIXED - 24th July 2022*

A more robust version of the features in this modified platfomer.c file are found with the Platformer Plus plugin.

Here you will find the modified platformer.c file referenced in this GB Studio Central article.  For use with GB Studio, this file will add the following additions to your project's platformer engine:

- Coyote Time
- Jump Input Buffering
- Mid-Air Deceleration on D-pad Button Release

Download the modified platformer.c file below and replace it with the default platformer.c file once you have ejected the engine. For a detailed How-To on implementing the file and modifying any variables associated with these new engine features, read the article in full.

Finally had a chance to play with this. Really great stuff, and I totally Echo Max below, this should absolutely be merged in :)

The GBS devs are aware of this mod. I think it's likely we will see it end up in vanilla GBS. The coyote time and jump buffer values would fit snuggly amongst the other platformer settings :)

ey! platformer mode getting the love it desurvs, hope this gets implemented in vanilla build asp. most people using gbs isnt well versed in coding,, like me


And me haha. Thats why I dropped everything to write this article as soon as Byucknah had shared it on discord! Gotta get it to all the game designers that aren't great at code lol. I am certainly one of them!
